I moved into a lower level apartment. The people upstairs were so loud. I complained often. I could not work from home. Wouldn't invite anyone over...

My husband moved into this complex since I work out of town for now. All I’ve been hearing is complaints about this complex. When I went down to spend some time with him I can definitely see why. The apartment is very poorly constructed. Stair case steps are so small you’ve to tip toe to climb up and down since they’re not made properly and the carpet is so slippery I’ve already almost slipped downstairs multiple times, Mind you my apartment out of town has stairs but I can walk up and down normal never having any issues. Things are already falling apart inside his apartment he’s barley been in there for less than 2 months and he’s informed them about the issues upon move in and no one has come to repair or fix anything. There are many issues with this apartment I wont write a novel on here as this complex already knows the complaints. On top of that I was called this morning from my husband because our daughter was going to be late to school. My husband told me that he has been having many issues with the gate to get inside and his garage remote that they gave him. Last night he told me his remote completely died and there is ZERO Parking outside due to the fact that there is more apartments then there is parking stalls. He told me since his remote had died he had to park inside the gate in a firelane because he circled around multiple times and there was zero parking and he didnt have a choice. He told me-numerous amounts of times he always sees someone park there and since it was already so late he didnt have a choice as there was no way to get into the garage, our daughter was asleep and he had to carry her inside so he had to park there. He went outside at 7am(mind you the complex opens at 8am)and his vehicle was gone.He waited until the complex opened and just asked if they towed his vehicle since he was worried someone might have stole it. The lady was very rude and wouldn’t tell him yes or no instead she felt it was her place to explain to a grown man how he parked “well you parked illegally and we don’t need to inform anyone about towing”. Obviously you can see why my husband was livid he was simply asking if they had it towed so he knew where his vehicle is and instead was talked to with attitude. As a tenant you should care that you towed someone’s car a few days before rent is due. He now has not only rent and all other bills due in 2 days but a $400 bill to get his vehicle. What else is someone supposed to do In a situation like his. You’ve a HUGE parking issue in this complex, his remote never works properly so he couldn’t get into his garagel it was already late and since everyone always parks there with no issue he didn’t see a few hours hurting. But the fact they said they were emailed at 5:58am today and towed it right at 6am is ridiculous. I’ve worked for a apartment complex before for 3 years and not once have I ever just towed a tenants car not even if they were parked “illegally” we were taught the proper way unless there’s an emergency of course, to ask the owner to please move their vehicle and to not park there again because we ACTUALLY cared about our tenants and didn’t want to add an extra expensive in their lives. But obviously reading all of the reviews this complex gets I can tell tenants is not this complex’s concern. We have lived at other complexes before and we have never had any issues The lady working the front office this morning went from telling my husband they did tow his car to switching her story and saying they didn’t tow his car that they just patrol randomly when he asked her for the information about his lease so he could move out early she told him you already have all of the information when you first moved in and proceed to lecture him about how he parked illegally. He had to ask her multiple times for the lease information to move out. It is their job to provide that information when asked not continue to argue with tenants. Horrible management when people would rather pay more to break their lease just to move out!

I was greeted with a smile and all the information that i needed was given to me on time and quickly. They were very patient with the long process it took to get application in. If you like the area and the floor plan, then you will be pleased with the rest of the service.

Review no. 3 I want everyone reading to know that this is my honest review based on my experience, and my family's. As this was our very first rental (ever) for 3 out of 4 of us, I only want the betterment of this complex. That said, we'll begin with the cons. Cons: -maintenance; when we first moved in, it felt as if we had to hound the office to get maintenance (before you could put in a maintenance troublecall online) as there were only 2 maintenance men when we *first* moved in. -construction; during Thanksgiving of 2018, for about 96 hrs, there was no way to bathe, do dishes, etc. My family had no emergency funds to stay in a hotel indefinitely, nor did we have family close by to take us in. We essentially were forced to sit in our own filth as construction worked on the water lines. -communication; while my family were out of state tending to a family death, only my younger brother stayed behind. He reports not receiving a 60 day reminder. This could simply be a miscommunication. However, this miscommunication ended up with a 30 day notice to the office instead of the mandatory 60 day, and paying for a month after the expiration of our lease (why waste a month?). September 1st was a Sunday, holiday on the 2nd, so the 30 day went out on the 3rd. We paid the prorated 3 days of $180 (after moving out) as required, on top of paying for the month of October (after end of lease). Ensure communication! Pros: -friendly office staff; any questions we had, they answered. Even if they seemed to be having a hectic day, they did ensure our compliments, concerns, and complaints alike were addressed. -centrally located; we had awesome access to Sushi Day, Save Mart, PetSmart, Walmart wasn't too far, and the VA was a few miles down the highway. -pet friendly!; this place was a godsend! I didn't want to have to surrender my German Shepherd, and this place ensured I didn't have to. I am eternally grateful that this place gave us our first rental history for 3 out of 4 of us. We learned so much from the pros and cons from our own experiences. I am so upset that our Budget truck wasn't big enough to bring everything with us; we left valuable furniture behind -- we even forgot up to $140 (+/-) just sitting on the counter. Our vacuum broke down, so we couldn't even finish cleaning! I feel AWFUL as a clean freak, and a Veteran. I pride myself on leaving things better than I found it, so this genuinely upsets me. I hope the $950 security deposit takes care of where we failed, and that a good Samaritan does the right thing and forwards the money we left behind to us. Update no. 3; not onky will we never see the ~ $144 we left behind on the counter, but we were charged twice for the carpet, to which one of the staff members admitted "that's weird, you shouldn't have been charhed twice." They changed the carpet throughout the entire apartment because it "smelled like cat," also according to a staff member. We have been moved out for only a month anf we have desperately tried to get a hold of them to make payments, but we're constantly being hung up on, or we can't understand the person on the other end. So not only are they failing us, as far as paying off our debt to them, but they got money we left behind, and we'll never see it again. Move somewhere better. This is a fine place if you've never rented. Pet friendly, great location, and helpful staff helped us with our first rental experience. We cannot express how grateful we are. I gave onky my honest review based on mine, and my family's, personal experience. Communicate, have an emergency fund for anything, and use the new resident features that they've worked hard on improving. Much love.
